Charter Tax is delighted to announce that it has now joined forces with the Ludlow UK Trust group.

That is not an uncommon goal. What I wanted to be uncommon about Charter Tax is the creation of a team that really cares about each other, and about their clients. And I think that’s what I have done.
My team and I had every intention of continuing to build Charter Tax organically but when one of our key clients, the Ludlow UK Trust group, told us that they planned to build their group to provide a multi disciplinary offering, and that they wanted us to be a part of that group, we knew it was the right move. The Ludlow UK Trust group share our values, towards each other and towards our clients, and we know that working together in a multi disciplinary team will only serve to enhance our mutual offerings.“
Following the acquisition of the Coutts UK trust business by Ludlow Trust Company at the start of 2021, the Ludlow UK trust group is now a significant operator in the UK trust business. It’s vision to create a joined up client service group demonstrates it’s commitment to be the premier firm for high net worth private clients and their businesses.
We are also delighted to announce that the group’s private client offering has been further strengthened by the joining of Saffron Tax. Saffron Tax shares a similar genesis to Charter Tax, having also been created in 2009 and working with the Ludlow group, sharing a particular focus on private client, trust and estate work. The private client law background enjoyed by Saffron Tax senior partner Nick Hughes ensures the multi-disciplinary offering for the group will be second to none. The completion of both transactions will be subject to regulatory consent.
